Privacy Policy
CloudWhale is a free browser game in which you steer a sky whale between floating sky islands. This policy outlines what data drifts in on the high-altitude winds when you play.
1. Information We Collect
Like the sky itself, we keep things open and uncluttered. We may receive:
- Routine browser HTTP headers your device transmits with any web request — IP address, browser name and version, operating system, and referring URL.
- Your personal best island count, kept only in your browser's local storage and never sent beyond your device.
- Completely anonymous, aggregated session tallies that provide no way to identify any individual player.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use technical data exclusively for maintaining the game, debugging issues, and understanding broad usage patterns. It is never used for advertising, audience targeting, or sale to other parties.
3. Local Storage and Cookies
Your altitude record lives in browser local storage on your own device. Clearing that storage removes it permanently — there is no server copy.
4. Third-Party Services
Fonts load from Google Fonts through a standard HTTP request. No other external services form part of CloudWhale.
5. Children's Privacy
CloudWhale has no violence, no gambling, and no paid content. The whale glides to a halt when it contacts a sky island. Appropriate for all ages. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13.
6. Data Retention
Any server logs are purged within a limited operational window. Local data is entirely under the control of your browser settings.
7. Your Rights
You may, depending on your jurisdiction, request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold. Use our website's contact form to reach us.
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical precautions to the data we handle. Absolute internet security cannot be promised.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may amend this policy at any time. Changes are effective immediately on publication of the updated page. Continued play means you accept the latest version.
10. Contact
